2018 College Scholarships Program
Washington Masonic Charities is proud to partner with the Grand Lodge of Washington to offer scholarships for deserving young people throughout the state of Washington. Masons believe strongly in investing in the education of young people - tens of thousands of dollars a year in scholarships are provided to youth by Masonic Lodges across the state. UPDATE: 2017-18 Scholarships program begins September 15, 2017. Lodges wishing to partner with WA Masonic Charities are asked to complete the Review Team Sign Up Form. Once signed up, further instructions will be issued.
Information For District Deputies, Lodge Review Teams & Committee Members
These scholarships are in addition to any scholarships offered by the local Lodge. No cost to participate - all lodges that sign up will be included.

Who May Apply?
High School Seniors
Residents of the State of Washington
Public Scholarships Available
Capstone: Top Senior Statewide (one available) $4,000 (this is the top senior selected by the review team)
Senior Boy & Girl (three) $2,000 each
Vocational-Technical College (one) $2,000
Masonic Youth and Children/Grandchildren of Masons
Masonic Youth Scholarships (Three) $1,000 each (Note: Visit Washington Job's Daughters, Rainbow, or DeMolay websites for more information on how to apply)
Masonic Legacy Scholarship (one) $2,000: Public high school seniors residing in Washington, who are a dependent (father or guardian) or a grandchild of a Washington State Jurisdiction Master Mason in good standing . If the student's father, guardian, or grandfather are deceased, they must have been in good standing at the time of their passing.
What Applicants Will Need to Apply
Letter of recommendation from teacher or school counselor.
List of awards and recognition (include year received).
List of activities (sports, music, volunteerism, youth organization participation. (include dates to and from).
Resume or list of employment and dates, if any.
Student Aid Report (received after they complete a FAFSA) https://fafsa.ed.gov/

March 13 - April 1, 2018 - Lodge Review Teams Convene & Select Lodge Finalists to forward to Washington Masonic Charities
April 19, 2018 - Last Date for Lodges to forward finalist names to WAMC
April 22, 2018 - Washington Masonic Charities Scholarships Committee reviews finalists.
Awards & Announcements Timeline
April 28, 2018 - Winning Lodges and District Deputies of statewide winners (both Student Scholarship and Outstanding Educator) will be notified by e-mail or telephone, with written confirmation to follow.
April 28 - May 2018 - Lodges award all scholarships and the Educator of the Year Award to recipients at their Public Schools Awards Program or other suitable occasion.
