College Scholarships Awarded - 2017

It is with great pleasure that the Washington Masonic Charities Scholarship committee announces the scholarship recipients for 2017. Applications were received from across the state and were evaluated at the local Masonic Lodge level, the Masonic district level, and then finally by the Scholarship Committee for Washington Masonic Charities.

Scholarships were awarded on academic performance, community involvement, financial need, and required letters of recommendations from teachers or community members. These scholarships are made possible through the membership dues that every mason in the state of Washington pays as well as many volunteer hours working towards the investment in future generations.

We, as Washington Masons, have provided $15,000 to invest in these promising nine students and exemplary educator. It is important to us to be able to provide scholarships for students who are of varying socio-economic status and post high school plans, as well as for members of our Masonic youth groups. It is our goal to work to increase the availability of these scholarships so that we can continue to have a positive impact on the students of Washington State.
