Planned Gifts

Donors can support Washington Masonic Charities in a variety of ways, including through the donor’s estate. Including Washington Masonic Charities in one’s estate plan will not only assist donors in reaching and achieving their own philanthropic and charitable giving goals, but it will also allow Washington Masonic Charities to continue its stated mission.

There are many charitable planned giving options available. For example, donors can make a planned gift to Washington Masonic Charities by naming Washington Masonic Charities as a beneficiary of the last will and testament, life insurance policy or retirement plan.

Donors can also name Washington Masonic Charities as a beneficiary of a charitable trust. An attorney or financial advisor can advise donors of the various types of charitable trusts and assist in establishing a trust that is tailored to a donor’s personal needs.

Some of the above-mentioned planned giving strategies may have a greater tax benefit than others. Donors are encouraged to consult with an attorney or financial advisor on which strategy would work best.
