The Masonic Family Supports Education

Did you know that over $600,000 in Scholarships were awarded by Washington State Masons, appendant  and concordant bodies last year?

Higher Education has always been a priority for the Masonic Family. This has been proven countless times by their generous donations to the students of Washington State . These Scholarships are a vital tool to helping young students get an education. The cost of college education has risen 382% since the year 2000.  It is only through Scholarships, Grants and Loans that most students have the opportunity to complete their field of study.

The generosity of the Masonic Family is demonstrated in the variety of student populations helped by these scholarships.

Many, like those of Washington Masonic Charities, are focused on the Masonic Family. Some emphasize blood relation to a Mason, and others elevate the participation in Masonic Youth Groups.

Several Lodges have scholarships that are exclusively for their local High Schools.   These promote the ideal of Masonry at a local level and are a powerful example of community goodwill.

The Washington Grand York Rite, The Amaranth Grand Court of Washington, The Grand Chapter of Washington Order of Eastern Star and other organizations all have scholarships available.

The Scottish Rite has been extraordinarily generous awarding $468,000 in Scholarships to Washington State Students in 2020.
