Prevention of Youth Homelessness Plan

In 2020 the Washington Legislature directed the Commerce Department and Department of Children, Youth and Families to develop a strategic plan to focus on the prevention of youth homelessness and related issues. The report, published in January 2021 in its entirety is posted here.

Washington Masonic Charities’ On the Level Student Success program is intended to help youth experiencing homelessness stay connected to their local school and ultimately graduate with a diploma or obtain a GED. Our work is intended to address the immediate need for education support, but our hope is that youth homelessness can be prevented in the first place. We look forward to opportunities to partner with and coordinate with providers to assist youth experiencing homelessness.
